National Pet Day -> Dog Mom Day (something special inside!)

Calling All Pet & Dog Lovers

There's something I've been thinking about lately...

How quickly the little things become the things we miss the most. The way they look at you when you walk in the room. Their favorite spot in the house. The tiny quirks that only you know.

And how easy it is to say, "I'll remember all of this forever"... until time quietly proves otherwise.

That's why I'm opening something special between National Pet Day (April 11th) and National Dog Mom Day (May 9th). Y'all are hearing this from me several days before the public, so I will prioritize you before my other followers.

For this window, I'm inviting a small group of dog moms (any pet lovers, really) to turn their favorite memories into a custom painting...

But before I ever pick up a brush, we'll do something even more meaningful.

💛 The "Memory to Masterpiece" Experience

When you reserve your painting, I'll guide you through a simple, heartfelt process to gather the moments that matter most-- the personality, the stories, the feeling of your dog.

Because this isn't just about how they look...

it's about who they are to you.

💫 A few important things to know:

  • I'm opening a limited number of spots for this season (10)
  • These are the only commissions I'll take during this time of year (next time will be the fall)
  • Once they're filled, I'll close bookings again for my summertime art-making season (and prices won't be this low again)

This is for you if...

  • You look at your dog and think, "I never want to forget this season"
  • You've lost a dog and want something tangible to hold onto
  • You feel like your home is missing something meaningful and personal

If this is pulling on your heart even a little... don't dismiss it.

Or if you're not quite ready, just hit reply and tell me about your dog--I'd truly love to hear from you. If you'd be interested in a drawing or some other type of artwork, just let me know.

🐶 A Note from Rachel

I started a class to learn a new artistic medium called encaustic. It is melted wax that is mixed with pigments to create art. Often called "hot wax painting," it is a process of painting from liquid to solid, rather than wet to dry. It is very labor intensive, so the learning will take place over the next 3-6 months, but I hope to share some of my process and attempts here first! (The sheep will probably peek into that series of artworks in some way). Keep an eye open next week for an update.

Artfully yours,

Rachel

My life was transformed by my rescue dog, Lollipop 🍭. She is my muse and inspiration for my art. If you're interested in learning how to make artwork of your own dog, please let me know. That's where the Dog Mom Art Club can be a beneficial way for you to explore art and make fun artwork of your own dog. Just send me a note if you're interested in this artistic way to express your love for your dog (or other pets).
